Stephen Childs

High School Teacher
Mr. Childs has been with Blount County Schools since 2016 as a teacher and coach at WBHS. Before coming to Blount County, he served as a Business teacher at Bearden High School for Knox County Schools. Mr. Childs was one of the original teachers at the Samuel Everett School of Innovation. He has been married to his wife, Kate, for seven years They have two children, and an awesome, furry dog named Gus.

Janneth Estrada

High School Spanish Teacher
Ms. Janneth Estrada has been with Blount County Schools since 2016 as a Spanish teacher at Heritage High School. Before coming to Blount County she served as a Spanish teacher for Knox County Schools. Spanish is her primary language. She went to The University of Tennessee in Knoxville for her teaching license and further studies.

She is married to husband, Erik, and they have two furry dogs named Vanilla and Princesa. Ms. Estrada enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, friends, family, and their pets.

Rebekah Jervey

High School French Teacher
Rebekah Jervey has been teaching French for Blount County Schools since 2010 and has taught French for Samuel Everett School of Innovation since it opened in 2018. Before coming to BCS, Ms. Jervey taught English as a Second Language for Monroe County Schools, and French at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. She has three children of her own.

Mary Cooper

Career Technical Education Teacher

Ms. Cooper joined Blount County Schools in 2000. In addition to teaching Digital Arts & Design I, II & III (DAD123) at SESI, she also teaches DAD123 and Web Design at Heritage High School. She and her husband, Brad, have three large dogs and six Mini Coopers.
